Hi everyone,

Now computers are also learning to show emotions. Already, some people prefer to pour their hearts out to a machine. Isn't it amazing how empathetic technology is changing our lives?
We read George Orwell's dystopian novel "1984" at school. Nineteen Eighty-Four depicts as a dystopia the gloomy vision of a totalitarian surveillance state. We have devoted our work to the topic of "Facecrime". In our work we have drawn comparisons about facecrime and emotion recognition between the past, the present and the future. Interesting information was found that surprised us and made us think. Read our PDF document and see what artificial intelligence is capable of.
Have fun and feel free to leave us feedback!

Find out what WWTP is cleaning your personal waste water?
The Flos wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) treats wastewater from the town of Wetzikon (entire town area), Aathal/Seegräben, Auslikon (Pfäffikon) including the baths, Ober-Balm (Hittnau) and Grüt (Gossau).
They are also responsible for the maintenance and operation of the two pumping stations Bäretswil (former sewage treatment plant Bäretswil) and Aathal/Seegräben. In addition, they look after all external stormwater and retention basins and the entire sewer system of the city of Wetzikon (wastewater, meteoric water pipes and sludge collectors).
What is its dimension?
37 000 Population values
Where is it located (map link)?

How does it look like?

We both think that green roofs are an important topic nowadays because there are many benefits.
When we look back on our project, we think we did a good job. At the beginning we didn't know much about this topic, but now we are definitely well informed. As mentioned before, we got instructive information through the interviews. However, in the beginning we had some difficulties to divide the work in time, but we could manage it well. Next time we think it would be better if we organize everything better at the beginning.
On the whole, we would not be here where we are at the moment without our cooperation. And the most important thing is that we enjoyed doing this project. :)

At the beginning, we quickly decided which topic we would deal with. On the Internet we saw that greening on the roofs is a current topic.
Unfortunately, we did not find a collaboration partner, so we were not able to work with teams from other countries.
We came up with the idea to interview companies that deal with green roofs. We set up questions in German and sent them to four different companies. One of the companies is located in Germany. Fortunately, we received a prompt response from three different companies. First we had to translate the German version into English. With the knowledge of these companies we were able to put together a text that gave a lot of informative information about green roofs. Overall, we had to research almost nothing on the Internet, because these interviews were already very extensive.

With this project we would like to make the population, especially large companies, aware of the need to change the climate and that big cities make a large part of it. One way to change this is to have green roofs. Since there is not much room to plant trees in cities anyway, this can be done on large roofs.
We imagine that our project will motivate some to implement it. Furthermore, the project should fulfill our imagination to have a positive influence on the climatic conditions. With this procedure the quality of living should be increased and the rainwater can also be evaporated better.
We are aware of the fact that this implementation could be expensive and that the investment costs are higher than for a conventional roof. Furthermore, such roofs need to be maintained. But if you take a closer look, there are many more advantages. A green roof serves as a habitat for plants and animals!
To get more information about this topic, we might do an interview or create surveys.
Who knows, maybe in 20 years big cities all over the world will already change to green cities...

What do you think about robots taking over operations in hospitals?
Artificial intelligence, wearable sensors, virtual reality and medical robots are technologies which are completely changing the way people thing and act about healthcare. Digital health tools could also help identify new illnesses or the worsening of existing ones. Digital health tools could help shorten the length of a disease, or help ease symptoms before they really take hold.

What do I know about E&T?
- I think environmental technology is the technological process of protecting the environment as well as restoration of already damaged ecosystems.
- What to do against environmental protection: Recycling, waste disposal, sewage treatment, reduction of air pollution, use of renewable energy

What I would like to know?
- How are the funds used to protect the environment?
- How the people get motivated to do something against the environmental pollution?
- Has the situation improved compared to the past?
