ORGANIC WASTE

1 ) How much organic waste is produced in India?

Urban India generates 62 million tonnes of waste annually.  43 million tonnes of municipal solid waste are collected annually, out of which 31 million is dumped in landfill sites and just 11.9 million is treated. About 31 million tonnes (50%) is dumped in landfill sites.More...

Our heating source

Our heat source at home is geothermal energy and we us underfloor heating. The house is almost ten years old.

The heat level can be regulated and have more different levels. Our heating will reduce additional costs.

Geothermal is renewable energy.

My first post - What am I interested in?

What am I interested in?

I am interested in renewable energy resources. For example; water, the sun, wind and probably so many more. I would like to research this topic further in a project. Especially what kinds of renewable resources Switzerland is currently using and how it is planning to update it in the future.

Geothermal heating - my heating resource

Heat resources - geothermal heating
In my home, we heat with the heat of the earth, the so-called geothermal heating. It is renewable energy and can be easily extracted. We use this energy to warm our house and also to warm our water.

Geothermal energy refers to the use of heat from the earth's interior. This energy stored in the earth can be used with the help of various methods. In most cases, geothermal probes are used in combination with heat pumps to heat single-family homes and large buildings. Geothermal probes go to depths of 200 to 400 meters.

The heat stored in the earth's crust (thermal energy). It is versatile and can be used for heating and cooling, as well as for electricity generation or in a combined heat and power system. The energy potential is enormous: 99% of the earth is warmer than 1000 °C. And geothermal energy also has many advantages in terms of environmental friendliness: no burning of fossil fuels and thus no harmful emissions.
