What WWTP (Waste Water Treatment Plant = Kläranlage) is cleaning your personal waste water?

The ARA Jungholz wastewater treatment plant in Niederuster cleanses the wastewater of the cities of Uster and Greifensee. It is made up of several subplants that handle wastewater treatment, stormwater treatment, and sludge treatment. The first plant went into operation in 1956, and it has been regularly updated to meet changing legal requirements and technological advancements since then.

What is its dimension? 

The WWTP Jungholz is responsible for ca. 35'000 inhabitants of Uster and for ca. 5'000 inhabitants of Greifensee.

What is CO2 compensation and how does it work?

A lot of things we do directly or indirectly cause the release of CO2 gases. With small changes in your life, you can minimize your carbon foodprint:
