Finish the overview. Mail to Christian Huber, specialist from the city of Zurich to ask if I can send him my ideas.
- I finished de overview and wrote to Mr. Huber

A couple of interesting links on combating CO2 in cities. These I found. They are very interesting to read and contain a lot of important information.
CO2 development Zurich
Text about a diesel ban
Also very interesting is the report from the city of Zurich "Stadtverkehr 2025" (City traffic 2025) where you can find important statistics and starting points all around the topic of traffic in the city of Zurich.
Report "Stadtverkehr 2025"
Today I want to contact the Department of the Environment in Zurich.
I also want to find out more about the possibilities to minimise traffic.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of the different solutions.
Mail to the Department of the Environment and continued working on the overview.

Exciting projects in the context of city climate & city trees are in development or "growing"; each project team as well as all collaboration teams get their own category. Here you collect all material, text, media, etc. for sharing with others and later for your publication on the website dontwastemy.energy.
The journey of discovery is underway!
I am looking for a cooperation with another team.
My project investigates the traffic situation in the cities and which measures are most useful to minimise CO2 emissions.
There are some starting points which I would like to investigate.
Car free city
Fewer parking spaces or more expensive parking spaces
more bike rentals or even free bikes
severely restrict entry to the city
I would be delighted to work with a motivated team.
I filled out a contact form and asked the Department of Environment of Zurich to contact me. I briefly explained what I was going to work on

The city is as quiet as possible and without many vehicles. So that the CO2 emissions can be reduced very much. I hope that the city will become car-free. This would be ideal not only for the climate but also for the well-being of the residents. With this measure, climate change could be drastically slowed down.
My vision: The city is quiet, only electric trams and buses drive through the streets. The electricity that is needed is obtained from sustainable sources. In other words, from solar panels mounted on the roofs of houses. People who come into the city by car have to park their cars in large car parks outside the city. These should be covered. Everything on the roof should be covered with solar panels. The public transport network is well developed so that there are no restrictions if you take public transport into account.
The problem that accompanies this measure is the high financial effort that has to be made.
To reduce CO2 emissions in cities, I believe that urban traffic must be reduced.
To achieve this goal, I believe that various measures can be taken.
- Reducing access to the city or charging a fee.
- Reduce parking in the city
- Creating a car-free zone or even a car-free city
- Only allow certain vehicles into the urban area (electric vehicles, hydrogen vehicles, etc.)
In my project I would like to find out which of these measures make sense or where are the strengths and weaknesses of the respective variants.
Perhaps, in the course of the project, there will be other possibilities to keep traffic away from the city.
To cope with this, I would include a city in my project.
