City trees in ZH - Report

Review and assessment of things done and still to do:

Overall, I think we made good progress but there is still a big amount of work ahead of us. Michael and I collected all the data needed and started to create our calculation on an excel sheet. As soon as we are finished, we are going to evaluate.  I also informed myself about a suitable application for the surveys and now I am working out a concept for it. Michael is currently looking for an interview partner, but so far nobody has agreed.

Problems encountered so far:

We have difficulties to find an interview-partner because of the actual situation with COVID 19 and beyond, it will be even more difficult to conduct surveys on the street.

What could have been done differently:

What I think we should have done differently is definitely the research, because it was very time-consuming to find reliable information on the internet. It would have been easier to collaborate with someone who was already familiar with the topic and had the necessary data.

how likely is for our working hypothesis to be confirmed?

Our planning is very realistic, with enough buffer if something goes wrong. This helps us to keep to our plan and to reach our goals successfully. As Michael told you already, we have divided our project work into five steps, starting with the research, followed by the calculation, thirdly we will do the surveys, next step is the interview and last but not least the analysis of our results, which we will publish on the horse and present to our class.
