Cycling for a better environment

The project idea we had in mind has to do with using bicycles to get around and how we could use more bicycles for transportation instead of cars. We think it is pretty clear that getting around with bicycles is way more economical than using a car, but of course there are still some questions that need to be answered.
  • How can we turn the idea into a project or better said into reality?
  • Are there already similar projects anywhere? 
  • What does it need for this project to succeed?
  • Renting bicycles or using your own?
Those are some of the questions we want to answer while working on this project. The reason why we chose this project is, that we think that this topic is going to be more and more something that many cities / countries see as an important step to reduce air pollution and it is also a very easy way to help our environment. The effort isn’t as big as the final earning we'll get.

    Interesting!
    I think also the infrastructure matters as for example cycle routes with trees, bike parking facilities, etc.

    hi

    I think your project is interesting. I don't know how the situation is in Zurich, but here were I live there is in my opinion a rather good biking infrastructure and the city of Antwerp itself has already projects to make the city more accesable by bike. For sustainable transport i think bikes is the number 1 option and I'm curious about about your research
