My water is purified at the Flos wastewater treatment plant (ARA) in Wetzikon. The water of the city of Wetzikon, Aathal/Seegräben, Auslikon (Pfäffikon) including the baths, Ober-Balm (Hittnau) and Grüt (Gossau) is cleaned there. They are also responsible for the sewerage system of the town of Wetzikon.
It was designed for 22,000 population equivalents (a measure of the capacity of wastewater treatment plants).
Since the last rebuild, the population in Wetzikon has again increased considerably. The capacity of 37,000 population equivalents has been exhausted. Therefore, the city is planning an expansion of the plant.
