Environment & Technology

What is my heat source?

We have an oil heating from weishaupt.

Oil condensing technology allows particularly economical and environmentally friendly use of oil as a fuel. Weishaupt condensing boilers convert the fuel into comfortable heat - simply and efficiently. Ideal for modernizing old oil heating systems, suitable for a wide range of buildings.

Step 5: Reflection

Looking back on our project we think we did a great job. We chose a topic that interested us both yet it was a topic that we still got to learn a lot of new things about. Our Teamwork and communication worked flawless:)

We guess the hardest part was trying to come up with a concept on what our article/project should include because it is such a wide based topic.

Due to the coronavirus, an international collaboration could not take place yet instead we asked our close friends for their opinions and their experience. We also received the great opportunity to interview a managing director of a company that build tiny houses here in Switzerland.

We're very happy with the end result and we can't wait to share our post with many people worldwide.

Kind regards

Cindy & Alexa

Food production: A sustainable food supply

Future challenges

It is estimated that by 2050 the world's population will reach 9.1 billion (34% higher than today). Food production will need to increase by 70% to feed the larger and most likely more urban population.

More food will have to be produced using less land. In addition water and energy will become limiting factors. Global food production methods must change to minimise the impact on the environment. I am curious to find out which methods we will use or want to use in the future.

I would like to interview different farmers and/or shops.
