For my waste water, the ARA Bubikon / Wolfhausen is responsible. It covers 3558 people from Bubikon and Wolfhausen (2018). The size of the sewer is actually for 5000 inhabitants.
In Bubikon there is also a second ARA called Weidli, this one covers also some people from Bubikon but also the people from Dürnten. It was founded in 1972 and the ARA Bubikon / Wolfhausen in 1951.
The waters the ARA's use is the lake of Zurich and the Klausbauch.

Debora and I wanted to find out how long you need to ride a bike to produce enough energy to dry your hair with a hair dryer.
We found out that a women (1.70m/63kg) is able to produce 120 Watt per hour, if she rides the bike for one hour.
Every time after showering we both blow dry our hair, but how much watt does a hair dryer need?
We found out that a hair dryer needs 2000 Watt to dry a womans midle long hair in 8 minutes.
So we calculated the number of hours needed to produce 2000 watt while riding the bike.
What is the result?

When we moved into my house we changed the heat source from oil heating to geothermal heating. We use geothermal probes in combination with heat pumps to heat our single family home. When they build the new heat source they had to go to dephts of 250 meters.
This energy we do not just use to warm our house we also use it to heat our water. My mum wanted this type of heating, because it is extremely environmentally friendly and you also need less energy for this type of heating.
The energy potential is enormous: 99% of the earth is warmer than 1000 °C. And geothermal energy also has many advantages in terms of environmental friendliness: no burning of fossil fuels and thus no harmful emissions.

The rainforest produces 40% of the oxygen, which we need to live.
That's why Jennifer and I wan't to inform use about solutions, how we could protect the plants from deforestation.
- use less palm oil
- eat less meat and milkproducts (go vegan!)
- don't buy and use wood from the rainforest
- reduce the production of papier for work, school...

One of our ideas is to plant trees, because we think to many of them get cut down.
Another one is the use of palm oil, where we wanna show what the consequences are.
One idea I prefer, is the rights of animals since I'm vegan. I just wanna show how bad animals are treated no matter where... For example in zoos, I think that's one of the worst places animals have to life. A
- animal rights, how they live (zoos)
- food we eat

My knowledge about enviroment & technology:
- There is a lot of plastic (microplastic) in the oceans
- The climate is changing
- There are to many humans on this planet and less trees
- Overproduction of Food - Foodwaste
