Circular Economy

What is circular economy?

  • Based on the principle of designin out of waste and pollution
  • Keeping products and materials in use
  • Regenerate natural system

When did it all start?

  • 1684: Thomas Savery invented the steam engine.
  • Industrial revolution: His invention kick started it.
  • Limestone turns into cement, cement into bridges and houses.
  • Ors and coals transform into metal and products, woodforest turned into timber and are used for  heating the houses.
  • Resources: Raw materials and energy seemingly infinite.
  • Mass production: For the first time in history.

What does it look like now?

  • Our current system: Take - Make - Waste
  • Resources: Reaching our limit
  • We still disrupt our enviroment and pollut our planet.
  • Our way of doing things has to change!

What can we do to help?
Please thing about ways we can help our economy and stop wasting resources for our presentation next week!
