What is circular economy?
- Based on the principle of designin out of waste and pollution
- Keeping products and materials in use
- Regenerate natural system
When did it all start?
- 1684: Thomas Savery invented the steam engine.
- Industrial revolution: His invention kick started it.
- Limestone turns into cement, cement into bridges and houses.
- Ors and coals transform into metal and products, woodforest turned into timber and are used for heating the houses.
- Resources: Raw materials and energy seemingly infinite.
- Mass production: For the first time in history.
What does it look like now?
- Our current system: Take - Make - Waste
- Resources: Reaching our limit
- We still disrupt our enviroment and pollut our planet.
- Our way of doing things has to change!
What can we do to help?
