Task 6 - Glacier melt project

  1. Was ist die Wirkung (effect), welche die Gruppe mit Ihrer Aktion genau auslösen möchte?

With our project we want firstly to show how harmful glacier melting in Switzerland is and in a second step find out solutions to reduce glacier melt worldwide.

  1. Was sind die Mittel (techniques), mit welchen die beabsichtigte Wirkung erzielt werden soll?

For our project it is very important to record the results in pictures, videos and texts. Then, we take surveys. Last but not least, the most important thing is to conduct interviews and to incorporate the results in our project.

  1. Mit welcher Strategie (steps) soll diese Wirkung erzielt werden?

Generally explained, we try to work with our pending list.

On short time terms: We use our brainstorm.

On long time terms: We use graphics, surveys and the results won by the work with our contacts in Switzerland and in the foreign countries (for example Island).

  1. Wer ist das Zielpublikum (audience)?

Our target audience are students and experienced researchers from universities, specially experts of glaciers. We hope moreover, that some students, who are interested in this area, can help us with sharing and debating our project.

Are concept cities like neom the future of mobility?

There is a plan for a new kind of city with big public transports. The space of the city would be well planed and the mobility would nearly be perfect. An example of such a city is "Neom". Neom is an project idea of the arabic gouvernement. The plan is to start in 2030 with the project. Neom is a old greek word and means new. Everything in the city should be new, futuristic and enviroment friendly.

Are there any bad points about that city? I remember reading an article where the local population is really against building the futuristic city, because the location would be at a local tribe. Are there any "better" projects?

Our project idea medical plants

Anabel and I decided, that our project would be on natural remedies and herbal medicine. She made the first step to get in contact with the students in India and now we're waiting for their reply. We created a chat in Teams and a first document where we will stay on top of things regarding our project.

As a team, we decided we would also work with her half-sister, who works in herbal medicine. She can give us the info that we need and also a good insider look.

Audio: Is E-Fuel the future? What else could it be?

Many big car companys like Mazda, VW-AUDI Group or japanese companies like Honda are developing "E-Fuel" cars. Also BMW is looking into the technology and trying to get petrol cars with "2-Butanol". These cars should use very little and organic fuel which would be really environment friendly. This could be a great alternative for the electrical cars, which sometimes are far worse for the enviroment as a normal petrol car. Currently the VW-AUDI Group is looking forward to release their first full E-Fuel 911 Porsche in 2025.

Is E-Fuel really an alternative? Could current petrol cars getting an "upgrade" for E-Fuel? Are electric cars really good with the lithium batteries?
